The Conclave was opened by Wy.Bro. Wally Maynard the Supreme Ruler. The Brethren welcomed the Deputy Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler, Wy.Bro. Colin Beerling, on his Official Visit to the Conclave, accompanied by members of the Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler’s Arch of Steel and Provincial Officers of the year.
Wy.Bro. Colin introduced the members of his escort and said how much he was looking forward to this, the Installation Meeting of Warlingham Conclave No. 291. He said how delighted he was to see so many members and visitors at the meeting and brought greetings from R.Wy. Bro. Laurie Young, Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler.
Wy.Bro. Wally Maynard invited Wy.Bro. Barrie Selway to install Bro Alastair Richardson as Supreme Ruler,which was done in an excellent manner.
The Deputy Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler gave the Address to the new Supreme Ruler and he also gave the Lecture on The Weapons - both in a faultless manner. Wy.Bro. Alastair Richardson appointed and invested the Officers for his year and the remaining business on the Agenda was duly conducted.
The Supreme Ruler proposed that the sum of £250 be donated to the Mark 2022 MBF Festival and the sum of £250 be donated to the 135 (Reigate & Redhill) Squadron Air Training Corps. Wy.Bro. Ian Clark, Provincial Grand Master of the Mark Province of Surrey, thanked the Brethren for their kind donation, as did Wy.Bro. Steve Harvey on behalf of the 135 Squadron Air Training Corps. To round off a most enjoyable afternoon, the Brethren and their many guests enjoyed a most convivial meal at the Nutfield Masonic Centre. The next meeting of the Conclave will be on Tuesday 29th January 2019, when the ceremony of the Princes' Degree will be carried out for Bro. Robert Short.
