In May, Brother Robert Short of Constant Trust Lodge No. 7347 was Inducted into Warlingham Conclave No. 291. It was splendid ceremony conducted by the Past Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler, R.Wy. Bro Michael Barnes, ably assisted by the Deputy Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler, Wy Bro Colin Beerling, and the Officers of the Conclave.
The Conclave was opened by Wy. Bro. Wally Maynard, the Supreme Ruler, who welcomed the Deputy Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler, the Past Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler and all the visitors. A ballot was taken for Brother Robert Short, which proved in his favour. Wy.Bro. Wally Maynard invited R.Wy. Bro Michael Barnes to take the Chair and induct Bro. Rob into the Order of the Secret Monitor. This was done in R.Wy. Bro Michael’s very special way. The Explanation of the Weapons and the Address to the Candidate were given by Wy.Bro. Colin Beerling.
After the ceremony the Deputy Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler congratulated Bro. Rob and welcomed him into the Order.
Bro. Alastair Richardson was declared Master elect and Wy.Bro. Nigel Thomson was declared Treasurer for the ensuing year.
Before closing the Conclave Wy.Bro. Wally Maynard thanked everyone for their assistance and said how delighted he was to see so many members and visitors at the meeting.
To round off a truly memorable day for Bro. Rob the Brethren of Warlingham Conclave and their guests sat down to a splendid meal at the Redhill and Reigate Masonic Centre at Nutfield.
