On 29th November 2016 the Conclave was opened at 5.00pm with Wy. Bro. John French presiding. The brethren welcomed the Deputy Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler, Wy. Bro. Colin Beerling, PGStB, on his Annual Official Visit to the Conclave, accompanied by many Provincial Officers. Wy. Bro. Colin introduced the members of his escort and said how much he was looking forward to this, the Annual Installation Meeting of Warlingham Conclave No. 291.
He said how delighted he was to see a total of 35 members and visitors at the meeting and in bringing greetings from R.Wy. Bro. Laurie Young, Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler; he said that his boss would have said that such a large turnout was indeed ‘fantastic’. Also present was the Past Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler, R.Wy. Bro. Michael Barnes, an Honorary Member of the Conclave, and the Past Deputy Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler, R.Wy. Bro. Lionel Mee, PGG, who is also a member.
Bro Steven Harvey was installed as Supreme Ruler by Wy. Bro. Barrie Selway in an excellent manner and with great dignity; he was assisted by Wy.Bro. John French, the outgoing Supreme Ruler of the Conclave. The Deputy Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler gave the Address to the new Supreme Ruler and he also gave the Lecture on The Weapons - both in a faultless manner. Wy. Bro. Steve Harvey appointed and invested the Officers for his year and the remaining business on the Agenda was duly conducted.
To round off a most enjoyable afternoon, the Brethren and their many guests enjoyed a splendid meal at the Redhill and Reigate Masonic Centre at Nutfield.
The next meeting of the Conclave will be on Tuesday 31st January 2017, when the ceremony of the Princes' Degree will be carried out for Bro. Jim Turner.
The next meeting of the Conclave will be held on the 7th September 2017.
